Once you land in Nusa Penida, your local driver-guide will take you straight to Kelingking Beach, home of the famous T-Rex shaped cliff that you’ve probably seen all over social media. After soaking up the views and snapping plenty of photos, you’ll continue to Broken Beach, where the sea has carved a giant natural arch in the cliffs, and Angel’s Billabong, a stunning natural infinity pool right by the ocean when conditions are safe. Itinerary
Day 1 - Nusa Penida West Highlights Day Trip
- 06:30 – Pick up at your hotel in Bali: Your driver will collect you from your hotel in popular areas such as Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu (selected area), Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, or Sanur and take you to the harbor. Enjoy a sleepy early-morning ride and a quick briefing about the day.
- 07:30 – Fast boat to Nusa Penida: Check in at the harbor and board the shared fast boat to Nusa Penida. The crossing usually takes around 35–45 minutes, depending on sea conditions. Sit back, relax, and watch the coastline of Bali fade into the distance.
- 09:30 – Kelingking Beach viewpoint: Meet your local Nusa Penida driver-guide at the harbor and drive to Kelingking. Spend time at the main viewpoint, taking in the epic cliff formations and turquoise waters below. You can walk along the ridge for different angles and photos. The steep hike down to the beach is optional and only recommended for very fit guests with enough time.
- 11:00 – Broken Beach & Angel’s Billabong: Continue along the rugged west coast to Broken Beach, where you’ll see the natural rock arch and circular cove carved by the ocean. A short walk away is Angel’s Billabong, a natural rock pool with vivid colors. For safety, swimming here is only allowed when the tide and waves are calm; often it is a photo stop only, guided by your driver.

- 14:30 – Crystal Bay: Head to Crystal Bay, a pretty beach with palm trees, soft sand, and usually calm water. Here you can relax on the shore, swim, or rent snorkeling gear from local stalls (at your own expense) to explore the underwater world when conditions are good.
- 16:30 – Return to Nusa Penida harbor: Leave Crystal Bay and drive back to the harbor. Your guide will help you check in for the afternoon fast boat back to Bali and make sure you have everything with you.
- 17:00–17:30 – Fast boat back to Bali: Board the fast boat and enjoy the ride back as the sun starts to lower, with views of the ocean and Bali’s coastline.
- 18:30 – Drop off back at your hotel in Bali: Arrive at the Bali harbor, meet your driver, and transfer back to your hotel. Arrival time can vary slightly depending on traffic and boat schedules, but you’ll be back in time for dinner with a full camera roll and a day of memories from Nusa Penida.
